UPDATED:April 21, 2020 - Update for EHS Families.

Dear parents,

We know this time for your family may be difficult and unique in its challenges, as we all deal with the COVID-19 closures and social distancing. We are going to do what we can to help! Your center staff will continue to be in communication throughout any closure period to support you. We will also be providing resources on this website and on Facebook at this link:https://www.facebook.com/HartfordMiddlesexHeadStart/so you have options for continued learning for your child, and direct links to resources for other needs your family may have.

Please see below for topic area sections, and as always please reach out directly to your center staff for anything else you need.

Status of Center Closures

All Hartford and Middlesex County centers are closed at this time due to COVID-19.

We will follow the closure schedule of the public schools where your Head Start center is located. As long as the public schools are closed due to COVID-19, the Head Start centers will remain closed. We will open centers when the public schools reopen.

Currently, the State of Connecticut instituted the Stay Home-Stay Safe policy in effect through May 20, 2020.

You can check back here for updates on center openings in the future, as well as our program’s Facebook page which will have ongoing updates regarding the reopening of our centers.

At this time, we continue to follow the State and Center for Disease Control guidance as it relates to taking precautionary actions as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.  Early Head Start center-based services will remain suspended until further notice.  We will stay in communication supporting our enrolled families and will let you know if and when we are able to once again safely operate center-based services.

Resources available at the Center

Centers will be providing diapers, pull-ups and wipes to non-potty-trained enrolled children during the closure.  Your Family Advocate will be reaching out to you with a date and time for pick up.
