Community Action of East Central Indiana Incorporated (CAECI) will no longer receive federal funding to provide Head Start and Early Head Start services in Wayne County, IN after July 31, 2024. Starting August 1, 2024, Community Development Institute Head Start (CDI HS) will begin providing services to children and families on an interim basis.
Our team is working diligently on the ground, focusing on essential areas including staffing, facilities (licensing), vendor agreements, insurance, and transportation. We will keep parents informed about the opening dates of individual centers, once we are licensed and able to open. We aim to ensure that CDI HS operates Head Start and Early Head Start services with minimal disruption to children and families.
