Update for Staff:
As promised, we want to keep you updated on new information.
We will observe the following schedule for the month of March 2023:
- March 13-17, 2023- All staff Pre-Service. Time and place will be forthcoming.
- March 20-24, 2023- Spring Break for West Central Alabama Centers (Choctaw, Dallas, Wilcox Counties).
- March 20, 2023- Sumter County Alabama Centers, and Marengo County (GP Austin Center), open with children.
- March 27-31, 2023- Spring Break for Sumter County Alabama Centers, Livingston Admin Office, and GP Austin Center.
- March 27, 2023- West Central Alabama Centers, except GP Austin, open with children.
We project Head Start and Early Head Start services resume Monday, March 20, 2023, for West Central Alabama Centers and Monday, March 27, 2023, for Sumter County Alabama Centers.

UPDATE FOR HS/EHS Parents:
F.S. Ervin, Lisman, and Easter Seals Centers
Dear Parents:
We are looking forward to serving you and your family! We
want to let you know that pre-Service training will be scheduled for all staff
from March 13 through March 17, 2023, and centers will be closed for children.
Your child's center will be on Spring Break from March 20 through March 24,
2023.
We are hopeful that CDI HS will be able to operate Head
Start/Early Head Start services with children beginning Monday, March 27, 2023.
Due to the program’s teaching staff shortage, some
classrooms will need to be closed for in-person services until teaching staff
is hired. We will contact each family affected by these closures individually
very soon.
During this time, services to affected children and families
will be provided remotely to include, but are not limited to conducting home
visits, providing community resources, and providing learning activities
including materials for you to use with your child. We are going to stay in
very close communication with affected families so that the children’s learning
continues, and your family has what it needs to feel secure.
